A guide to the Basalte Eve Plus iPad dock

The Eve plus range from Basalte introduces a new and exciting way of provide a docking point for the iPad but still having all the benefits of a portable tablet. The range has three main components: sleeve, wall base and table base.

sleeve

The slim, lightweight sleeve is precision machined from aluminium and is available in brushed aluminium, brushed black and satin white. It is compatible with the 9.7" iPad but other sizes will be released in the future. It has integrated magnet and power connection on the back that connect to either the wall base or the table base but these are unobtrusive and don't add any bulk. On the back of the sleeve are soft touch pads which make handling the iPad more comfortable.

wall base

Mounted into a standard european wall box the wall base is available in all of Basalte's high quality finishes so can match perfectly with the keypads, sockets and other wall accessories. It requires 24V DC with a rating of 12w and the integrated magnets ensure the sleeve has a strong yet removable connection. The unique plus design allows the iPad to be mounted in either a vertical or horizontal position, and when the iPad is removed the gold plated contacts have child safety protection making it safe and stylish. The base is made up of two components - the electronics (0130-01) and a finishing cover (0131-xx)

table base

With the same connection as the wall base, the table base allows the iPad to be mounted on a kitchen counter or desk and again it's available in a wide range of options to complement the other basalte finishes and any surrounding surfaces. It has an adjustable viewing angle thanks to its movable arm and with the cable routed internally it looks elegant and stylish. An external power supply is required to connect to the hidden USB socket in the base. The base can be permanently mounted in position using a supplied bracket.
