For controlling DALI devices via the ABB i-bus® KNX. One DALI output for up to 64 DALI slaves. DALI power supply is integrated. Control and status feedback is carried out via KNX per DALI slave (64), with 16 lighting groups, together in broadcast or per scenes (16). DALI devices type DT1 (Self-contained emergency converter acc. EN 62386-202) and type DT8 (colour temperature Tc / tunable white acc. EN 62386-209) will be supported. Extensive fault and error messages are available. By means of KNX and DT1 converter different emergency tests (e.g. function and duration test) can be triggered, test results are transferred back to KNX. With DT8 devices Dim2Warm, HCL, set and dim colour temperature are possible. Slave-, staircase-, force-, block- and scene- function are integrated. Feedback is sent. DALI telegram rate can change. For diagnostic use and individual change of the DALI address or group assignment a separate Software-Tool is available.

Description

DG/S 1.64.5.1 is a KNX modular installation device (MDRC) in ProM design for installation in the distribution board on a 35 mm mounting rail.

It is a DALI single-master controller to DALI standard IEC 62 386 Parts 101ed2 and 103ed1. The gateway is suitable for use with DALI and DALI-2 systems. It sup- ports Type 0, 1 and 8 DALI operating devices with DALI interfaces to IEC 62 386 and their integration in a KNX building installation.
Up to 64 DALI devices can be connected to the DALI output. “Normal” lamps (DT0), self-contained emer- gency lights (DT1) and color control lamps (DT8) can all be connected to the DALI output in a mixed configura- tion.

The fault status (lamps, ballasts or emergency lighting converters) of each DALI device or of the lighting group is sent via the KNX bus by a variety of KNX group objects.
In addition to the standard functions, e.g. switching, dimming and brightness value setting with the corre- sponding feedback, the DALI-Gateway offers the func- tions Staircase lighting, Scene, Slave, Forced operation and Disable. The lighting groups or individual lamps can be integrated in an energy-efficient building auto- mation system via a KNX presence detector or light controller.
The DALI-Gateway DG/S 1.64.5.1 / DG/S 2.64.5.1 features the Tunable White (Tc) color function, which allows you to set and dim the color temperature of lamps (DT8). There are also settings options for the additional Dim2Warm and Human Centric Lighting (HCL) functions.
Other functions include 1-bit scene retrieval and ballast supply voltage switch-off (standby switch-off) in com- bination with a KNX switch actuator.
Function, duration and partial duration tests and bat- tery tests for self-contained emergency lighting systems to IEC 62 386-202 can be triggered and stopped via KNX, with results provided on the KNX bus.
The DALI-Gateway possesses a wide-range supply volt- age input. No separate DALI power supply is required. The DALI power supply for 64 DALI devices per output is integrated in the DALI-Gateway.
