Adding ETS Apps and licenses to ETS

Adding a KNX ETS app can appear confusing first time around. Follow the steps below, or, get more help in the links at the bottom of the page.

The process is mostly the same for ETS5 and ETS6, though there may be some differences if you are using an ETS cloud license rather than an ETS dongle

Where to do the steps to buy and load ETS apps:
KNX Association Website	Your Computer	ETS 5 or 6 programme
Log in to your account on my.KNX.org Go to the apps pages and find the app you are looking for. Select 'Buy', go to cart and purchase (many apps are €0.00 so no payment needed). Don't forget to accept the License Agreements Go to the Product menu and select the app product you have bought.
		Go to ETS and make a note, or copy, your KNX dongle license number ie. KNX-A1234567 which you will find on the license page
Some apps are bound to your ETS license. Click on 'Product License' and enter your dongle license number which will create the license file
Download license and app files to your computer
	Find the downloaded files in your file finder	Install the app file into ETS using the 'ETS Apps' page, and then,
		'Add license' file (if required) in the Licensing page which will activate the app
		Open your ETS project and Run the app by selecting the 'app' menu from the top bar menu, or If App is an 'in product' app then there will be a new tab in the device page.
