Creating an inscription on Gira's marking website

With the Gira inscription service you can order the full range of Gira rocker covers, but with your own wording and symbols. This makes it a really great solution for easy control of your automation system. 

There are two options for inscriptions, the first by using the transparent rocker sets which include inscription holders. The design can either be printed off yourself, or Gira will post the labels out to you with free delivery. This option is great for quick application, and for switches that are likely to change name or function, such as a door entry panel for a block of flats.

The second option is the all-metal or full surface plastic rockers, which are permanently laser inscribed, creating a sleek, professional look. These designs need to be created through Gira's inscription service, and then the products ordered from us.

Option 1 - Transparent Rockers

• Head to marking.gira.com and click to start your inscription. 
• You will need to select the product you wish to create a design for, with this option you will need to make sure to select the products with the transparent inscription space.
• Click on each rocker and add wording or a symbol. You can choose the font, size and alignment of each button.
• Click continue to review your inscription, here is the option to save or print. If you would like to receive the inscription by post then you will need to add the design to your cart.
• If you need more than one inscription you can continue adding to your cart, and then place the order when you are finished. 
• Add your details or login, make payment and then Gira will send the labels out to you.

Option 2 - Laser Inscribed

• Head to marking.gira.com and click to start your inscription. 
• You will need to select the product you wish to create a design for, with this option you will need to make sure to select the products that are full metal or plastic for laser inscribing.
• Click on each rocker and add wording or a symbol. You can choose the font, size and alignment of each button.
• Click continue to review your inscription, and you can save a project and design to use it again if required.
• If you need more than one inscription you can continue adding to your cart, and then place the order when you are finished. 
• Add your details or login, process the order and make a note of the product codes, quantity and configuration number.
• This is where you will need to head to our website. 
• Create an order for the items listed on your configuration
• Head to the checkout and make sure to add the configuration number to the field labelled Inscription / Design reference under the Delivery section.
• Make payment and process the order. 
• Once we receive the confirmation we will place the order with Gira.
• Laser inscribed items can take up to 3 weeks to be produced, but can often be quicker.
