The Gira F1 is the simple solution for more security in smart buildings in two crucial ways. Firstly, it serves as a KNX bridge, connecting independent KNX systems seamlessly. Secondly, it provides secure door communication data in conjunction with SIP door stations, ensuring the highest security in buildings with multiple residential units.

This solution not only addresses the KNX system but also extends its functionality to stand-alone intercom installations.

Equipped with two Ethernet connections, one for the shared building network and the other for the customer's private network, this device facilitates segregation and enhances overall security.

The device operates in two distinct ways:

It facilitates the utilization of a shared KNX backbone, enabling the use of resources like a weather station across multiple apartments. This ensures that each apartment can fully benefit from the shared KNX functionality while maintaining privacy and network security.
It enables the sharing of a common intercom outdoor station that operates on an IP-based building network using the SIP protocol. This station can be integrated with the customer's private network, allowing for traffic filtering specific to each customer.

Please note that this single device can simultaneously achieve both functions. Alternatively, it can be used independently with any KNX devices or SIP-supported intercoms.
