Theben | Wireless lighting control
Theben DALI-2 presence sensors from theRonda, thePassa and PlanoSpot series can now also be used in wireless Casambi systems for lighting control. Casambi is based on Bluetooth Low Energy, which creates a mesh network that enables robust, encrypted device-to-device communication within a lighting network.
This opens up new, flexible possibilities for retrofitting existing DALI-2 lighting control systems in offices, conference rooms, hotels, and other buildings.
This integration relies on the LIGA.AIR.DALI.Theben Casambi control module, which acts as the interface between the DALI bus and Casambi-compatible luminaires. No changes to the DALI presence sensors are necessary.
Optionally, the Casambi module can also be used as a DALI-2 actuator, allowing wired DALI-2 systems to be extended wirelessly.
The LIGA.AIR.DALI.Theben module enables switching and dimming of up to 50 DALI devices in broadcast mode. The input voltage range is 100-240 volts AC, and an output current of up to 100mA is possible on the DALI bus. The maximum power consumption is only 3 W.
The compact ABS housing (38 x 38 x 26 mm) allows for simple installation in a flush-mounted box or cable duct. Thanks to protection class IP64, the module can also be used in damp rooms.
