theLuxa P300 KNX Motion Detector

Theben presents a new outdoor motion detector theLuxa P300 KNX. With motion detection channels, temperature, light measurement, timing, logic and scene functions this is a true all-rounder. It has a large detection area, a pivoting sensor head for either horizontal or vertical installation and a bottom sensor for creep detection. 

TheLuxa P300 has an integrated brightness sensor and therefore can be used as a twilight switch, and the integrated temperature sensor allows for temperature-dependent operations to be implemented. A new feature is the option to send percentage values on activation instead of switching commands and each channel can respond to scene commands, for example, blocking the unit, permanent ON, changing the brightness threshold and change the time. 

TheLuxa P300 KNX from Theben has four motion detector channels, each one having a time dependent preset function allowing different responses based on the time of day. In addition to this settings are available for short-time presence, fully automatic/semi-automatic and two switchable time delays per channel. 

The device also has four universal channels which respond to temperature and/or brightness thresholds independently of motion. Four completely independent logic channels allow ‘AND’, ‘OR’ and ‘XOR’ operations. The logic inputs can be linked to internal or bus objects making the device extremely versatile. 

For outdoor lighting control, theLuxa P300 can be mounted on the wall or under the eaves. For alternative mounting options, corner brackets and spacer frames are also included. 

The detection area is up to 16 meters and has a detection angle of 300°. This means the KNX motion detector reliably covers large areas. Should it detect more than required, the detection area can be by adjust by disabling the left, right or side sensors or adjusted more finely using cover clips, or the detection sensitivity can be easily adjusted on the device or by using theSenda remote control.
